Prohibited articles and substances

Sending EMS items with cultural values the sender should give to operator Permission of Management of art examination under the control over import and export of cultural values abroad by Ministry of Affairs of Culture of Republic of Uzbekistan, which is put inside of the item of mail.
For sending domestic and international items of mail following subjects and substances are forbidden to transfer:
- all kinds of hunting and sporting guns, crossbows, fighting weapons, ammunition, gas pistols and gas sprays;
- narcotics, psychotropic and toxic substances and equipment primarily designed for introducing such substances into human body, explosive, flammable and other dangerous substances as well as radioactive materials;
- poisonous animals and plants;
- national and foreign currency except that sent by the Bank of Uzbekistan and its institution;
- perishable foodstuff;
- articles or substances which by their nature or their packing, may expose postal officials to danger, or soil or damage other items or postal equipment;
operators have the right to detain domestic EMS items, which contents are forbidden to transfer, in a place of their defection. Time storage of such items is carried out at an object of mail service with maintenance of exact account and safety. The opportunity of access to them of extraneous persons is excluded.
